Belper Town

Altrincham Club Crest image

This extremely consistent Midland club was formed in 1883 and has worked hard to establish themselves in the competitive non-league pyramid of leagues. After competing in the Central Alliance (1957-1961) they joined The Midland Counties and soon became a power in the competition.

Joining the new Northern Counties East competition brought them a fifteen season membership of the league but by 1995 ‘The Nailers’ has become a regular challenger at the top of the table and promotion was achieved in 1997.

Life in the Northern Premier League has certainly been varied with seven top ten finished interspersed with some seasons battling near the foot of the table, but a look at the club’s history shows Belper Town have produced consist records in their last three leagues while steadily working their way up the pyramid.
