Evesham United

Altrincham Club Crest image

Formed after the second world war, Evesham United developed steadily through the local midland competitions. Playing in the Worcestershire County League, Birmingham Combination, Midland Combination and West Midlands (Regional League) before returning to The Midland Combination in 1965.

‘The Robins‘ worked their way steadily up to become regular top of the table challengers
from 1987 to 1992 . Mick Brennan was in charge when the challenge started and Dave Clements was manager when promotion to the Southern League was achieved as Champions in 1992.

Not many top ten finishes were achieved, but after third place in 2005, Evesham competed in The Premier Division for just one season, spent two more challenging for a return and achieved Premier Division status again in 2009 under the guidance of Paul West.

Without a ground of their own for six years, consistency had been very difficult to achieve but with a new and exciting home, Evesham United’s future is bright.
