Hemel Hempstead Town

Currently Playing In:

Southern League Premier Division

Originally formed in 1885 and once known as Hemel Hempstead FC, the Hertfordshire club has spent much of its history working its way up the
local home counties leagues,The Spartan League (1922-1952), The Delphian League (1953-1963) and The Athenian League (1963-1977) paved the way into the Isthmian League in 1977.

‘The Tudors’ spent a long time battling to progress through The Isthmian League’s lower divisions and when they finally reached a Premier Division, they achieved the move after the League re-organization in 2004, but ironically it was in the Southern League where they made their Premier debut in 2004-2005.

Having returned to Division One immediately.and then promptly bouncing back though the play-offs, ‘Town’ have now been rewarded for surviving three tough Premier seasons.Their supporters will be optimistic after qualifying for the play-offs following a very encouraging 2012-2013 campaign.
