Isthmian League Division One North

An Essex club that were known as Ford United from formation in 1958, until finding themselves in Conference South in 2004, when changing its name to Redbridge.

The club had originally developed through the local leagues:-

1959-1964 Aetolian League
1964-1971 Greater London League
1971-1974 Metropolitan League
1974-1997 Essex Senior League
1997-2004 Isthmian League
2004-2005 Conference South
2005- Isthmian League

The longest period in their history was enjoyed in their County competition and their last ten seasons in The Essex Senior League all produced top ten finishes, climaxing with a Championship season in 1996-1997 and promotion to The Isthmian League.

With Dennis Elliott in charge, Division Three and Division Two titles followed within three years and after two seasons settling into Premier football, a re-organization of the leagues placed the newly named Redbridge Football Cub in the newly formed Conference South.

Sadly, the higher standard proved too much for the club and, after a couple of relegations,Redbridge after nine different managers appear to have settled in The Isthmian League Division One North since 2006.
