Rushall Olympic

Currently Playing In:

Northern Premier League Premier Division

Rushall Olympic are a West Midlands club that has developed steadily through the ranks, competing in an area overrun by good non-league opposition.  A comparatively young club, ‘The Pics’ passed through The Walsall Amateur League (1952-1955) and The Staffordshire County(South) League (1956-1978) before settling down in The West Midlands (Regional) League in 1978.

In the fourteen years before the formation of The Midland Football Alliance, the club’s form fluctuated under the guidance of five managers who were all given at least two years in charge. The club rarely challenged at the top of the league but were elected to the Midland Alliance, where it took the club five years to enjoy a top ten finish.

Once established in the division however, Rushall were consistently challenging and in 2005 won the Championship and promotion into The Southern League Division One West. The club’s geographical situation opened up the chance to move from league to league and in the six years before qualifying for the chance to consolidate in Premier League football in The N.P.L, the club played in three different divisions. ‘Olympic’ are now playing in the highest level in their history where they have enjoyed challenging the leaders for two seasons.
