Spalding United

Currently Playing In:

United Counties Premier League

A club formed between the World Wars, Spalding United have spent the majority of their competitive life in and out of the United Counties League, with short spells attempting to establish themselves in the Southern and Northern Premier Leagues.

Three United Counties championships were won in 1988,1999 and 2004. In fact after relegation from the Southern League Eastern Division in 2003, an immediate United Counties title took the club into The Northern Premier League,  but in the following season the club moved over to to The Southern League Division One Midlands.

No supporters of ‘The Tulips have ever been bored !

Alan Day led the club as manager for seven years and enjoyed a consistent era in the clubs history between 1994 and 2001. However, since then, consistency hasn’t been a strength in the running of the club, as nine managers have taken up the reigns in the last twelve seasons. But another move back to Step Four football is now expected - whatever the league!
