MARRIOTT EDGES CLOSER

16 April 2014

Cambridge City’s Adam Marriott, scored in nine consecutive games recently, which is this season’s best scoring run. His four goals against Bashley took him into second place and he now has a total of 44 goals this season. In his last twelve games he has been credited with seventeen goals, scoring in all except two.

The race to finish top non-league scorer for the season is extremely close!
Leon Mettam (Worksop Town) leads with 47 goals but Hemel Hempstead have failed to score in their last two games so Ben Mackey (Hemel Hempstead Town) with 42 goals is now in third place.

Two possible challengers with unbroken consecutive runs are Stefan Brown (Hungerford Town) with eight consecutive scoring games and Leon Mettam who has scored in his last seven games. While Stewart Yetton has netted eleven in the last eleven games, including a run of seven consecutive scoring matches.

Sam Madeley of desperate Droylsden, a club suffering from a really difficult season, has scored five in his clubs last four games, although all were lost with a goal difference of 5-22!

Stockport County have failed to score in seven of their last eight games,
but in the match they drew 3-3, Phil Jeavons scored a hat trick!
